Concrete Repair
Concrete is one of the most durable building materials out there. That does not mean that it happens to be everything proof! Within enough of years of wear and tear or event that causes an enormous amount of pressure on the surface, it can break. That is why we have repair services. Included in these is the popular concrete driveway repair. Now, there is a big difference between a minor crack and complete and utter structural failure. Knowing the difference between each of the two can really help you save a ton of money in repairs. Having a company that can tell you the difference within a matter of minutes is even better!
Timing Is Everything Before we get into sealing cracks and things of that nature we want to let you know that most of the major issues that we come across could have been stopped before they got that big. The problem here is that you obviously are not going to want to call us every single time that you see a small crack develop. You would mostly be right to think that minor cracks are no big deal and can be repaired fairly easily. That is not necessarily wrong. Except for the fact that these minor issues can turn into major problems! Sealing Off Cracks The easiest and fastest way to repair minor issues is by literally applying a mixture of rocks and cement on the crack to stop it from developing any further. In a sense what this does is glue the concrete slab back together. One of the things that people fail to realize is that the size of the crack is not necessarily the determining factor in whether or not the crack can be sealed. If you have a large concrete crack that has produced a clean break you may be able to seal it without requiring a major overhaul. Digging In A Little Deeper There are certain situations that are going to require that we dig in a little deeper. You can usually spot the cases that are going to need more work so to speak if a crack keeps on forming in the same spot even though it has been repaired multiple times. What we may need to do in these cases is repair the original terrain. One of the main reasons that we have these problems is that the original terrain is experiencing a lot of soil erosion. So making sure that we are able to smooth out the original terrain is a must! Working With Heavy Duty Equipment Those of you that have a parking lot or garage that sees a lot of heavy duty traffic or things of that nature will know that with enough pressure even hard concrete will break. There are multiple things that we can do to make sure that these particular concrete surfaces are better equipped to handle an excessive amount of pressure being put on top of them. A good commercial concrete service can really help solve many of these potential issues! |
